KEMPERSTRIP AVIO SFM is a paint stripper with the typical performance of products containing phenol, even if it is free of phenol. It does not compromise the integrity of aluminum alloys, widely used in the aviation industry.

The volatility of the lower solvent phase is drastically reduced by the upper phase which acts as a "seal". This property is significantly increased thanks to a specific additive. In addition to the function of limiting emissions, the upper phase performs a catalysis action towards the attack of the coating. KEMPERSTRIP AVIO SFM acts through two consecutive phases: swelling and detachment that accelerate the removal of paint residues with the subsequent rinsing operation. The occurrence of the swelling phenomenon can also be very variable depending on the type of primer-paint system and the temperature without however compromising the detachment.

HOW TO USE

If it is not necessary to use the whole contents of the drum, energetic stirring before taking the sample in order to pour all the components of the two layers into the required ratio.
The pieces to be stripped must be completely immersed in the lower layer. Many aluminum alloys  (2024 T3 ; 6061 T6; 7075 T6) tolerate contact with the upper phase. In this regard it is necessary to adopt tanks with a surface / volume ratio which allows the surface layer to cover the surface of the tank completely and uniformly. Immerse the pieces to be treated until the paint is completely detached, checking the action of the product at pre-established intervals. To extract complex parts (with cavities, undercuts, etc.), carefully drain the residues of KEMPERSTRIP AVIO SFM into the tank. At the end proceed to rinse with a jet of water to pressure in order to easily remove the paint residues. To prolong the life of the product, it is advisable to introduce a finely perforated basket into the work container, which will collect and periodically remove the flakes of paint, thus removing them from further and unnecessary action of the product.

WARNINGS

Avoid contact with magnesium alloys and use caution with aluminum alloys by performing preliminary tests. Ferrous materials can develop consistent oxidations. Use the product with PPE provided for by the safety data sheet and in environments specially equipped with vapor collection and abatement systems.

 

STORAGE

The product is stored in original containers for a period of 24 months.
